1. The Technology of IOTA
Unlike other tokens, which are based on blockchain projects, IOTA is not a blockchain project, but a technology that developers call Tangle. Tangle is based on a DAG, not a continuous chained architecture like a blockchain. The principle of DAG is that each user must confirm the other two transactions in order to confirm the transaction he initiates.

Tangle and blockchain are two completely independent architectures, but they are built on the same rules. It is also a distributed ledger. The difference with blockchain is that blockchain records multiple transactions per block, while DAG stores one transaction per block.

2. What problem did the IOTA solve?
IOTA is a promising solution to the Internet of Things's infrastructure challenges. It is also one of the leading companies in the blockchain project of many concepts of the internet of things.

In ordinary block chain token trading, there will be a service fee to pay the miners' mining costs. This is very unfriendly for small trading. The fact that the IOTA transaction fee is zero makes it possible to complete IOTA for any small trading. This design is particularly suitable for data exchange in the Internet of Things.

In IOTA's IoT world, any device owned by individuals may become a data collection tool, such as a mobile phone or a car with a built-in sensor. These devices can collect various data in real time at a fixed location or during a move and send it to the IOTA data market. In other words, through IOTA and its data market, everyone can "decentralize" to participate in data transactions and gain revenue.


And we can see from the iota price chart that although the price of iota fluctuated significantly in 2018, overall, the price in 2018 was higher than in 2017 as a whole, which is enough to reflect the strength of iota.
